2026/27 D-Clinics Just Announced!!

One of our most popular programs is back!

Holistic Hockey is excited to announce the return of our weekly Defenseman Skills Clinics for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 seasons.

These position-specific sessions are designed to help defensemen develop the skills, confidence, and hockey sense needed to become more effective players in all areas of the game. Each clinic will focus on the details that separate good defensemen from great ones, with an emphasis on skating, puck skills, defensive awareness, and game-realistic situations.

Skills Covered

Each defenseman will work on developing:

• Balanced skating with a focus on mobility and edge work
• Transitional skating, including pivots and directional changes
• Effective stick positioning for angling, lane denial, and puck control
• Net-front defense and body positioning skills
• Angling and gap control techniques
• Becoming a more effective offensive option
• First-pass execution while moving at game speed
• Shot selection and understanding when and how to use different releases
• Battle drills and small-area game situations
