2026/27 Defence-Only Power Skating & Skills Dates Are Now Open for Registration!

Holistic Hockey is excited to welcome players back to our Defence-Only Power Skating & Skills Program, returning for the 2026/27 season and now running weekly on Wednesday mornings!

Each session combines focused power skating development with position-specific defensive skills training led by Tyler Ertel. We have created innovative ways to utilize the entire ice surface, maximizing development opportunities and ensuring each player receives a high-quality training experience.

All sessions sold out last season!

To provide personalized instruction and meaningful feedback, each age group will be limited to a maximum of 8 players.

Age Group Divisions

• Group 1: Players born in 2016, 2017, 2018
• Group 2: Players born in 2013, 2014, 2015

The power skating portion of each session focuses on the skating techniques essential for defencemen, including the skills required to improve mobility, gap control, transitions, and overall effectiveness in game situations.

The skills portion focuses specifically on defensive play, helping players develop the tools, awareness, and confidence needed to excel in the position. Smaller groups allow for increased repetitions, detailed instruction, and more one-on-one coaching.
